What is All the Heals?
Ever since I was a young girl I could remember my grandmother mixing up herbs, lotions, and potions. Anything from scratch, for any ailment that may have come up for my sister or myself. I remember her scraping the gel and juice from aloe plants, and making a very tasty and healing concoction . If we had a cough or sore throat she would mince up onion, cover it with honey, let stand for a few days, and have us drink it as a cough syrup. She knew her herbs well. My mother had this curiosity and passion as well.
There was nothing that her homeopathic books couldn't help with. At the age of twelve, I remember finding a book in my moms library called "Discovering your psychic powers." This was a gold mine! It included guided meditations to recall past lives, step by step instructions to seeing auras, guides to feel energy, and much, much more.
Around that same time, my mother started hosting meditation groups. We would have all sorts of interesting characters at our home. I remember one gentleman taking my hand and saying I have very good energy, and a very open heart chakra. At that point I had no idea what he was talking about, but for some reason it totally resonated. I met another beautiful soul who read past lives, she was my "go-to" any time I felt a connection that I didn't understand. Her presence was absolutely angelic. Being around her felt like you were surround by the warmest, most divine light. My heart still completely melts into joy when I think of her. Each person I met left a deep impression, and inspired me to be who I am.
So I guess you can say my interest for healing started at quite a young age. I was always the friend who was the listener and advice giver. I remember looking up my name, and finding out that Monika means "mighty advisor." It propelled me even further into pursuing the healing arts, in whatever way I could. I would read and study all sorts of books on any topics related to alternative healing, and the energetic world. A lot of these were passed down from my beautiful, and curious about life, mother. Louise Hay, Deepak Chopra, Esther and Jerry Hicks became just some of the authors who would satisfy my curiosity about all the woo woo things.
My thirst for knowledge in this area has never been quenched. When I chose a career in massage therapy I knew I had chosen the right path to be able to somehow, and at some point, incorporate all the bits and pieces of wisdom that I've gained along the way. After many, many years in the field, and treating thousands of clients, I came to realize a lot of things about the nature of healing. I realized that the body holds much more than just tension and muscle spasms. That sometimes a young boys broken rib was a physical expression of a very broken heart. That some people need a connection, or physical touch, just to make them feel cared for and loved. Some first time clients would share everything about their life, because they needed to be heard by someone who wouldn't judge them. In a way I felt like I took on the role of being a listener once again.
After a ten year journey as a massage therapist, I now come to offer All the Heals. I can connect with your body and higher self and help provide you with what you need at that time. If you're dealing with spasmed muscles, I can use my massage knowledge to help relive pain. If its a headache and tension in your neck and shoulders, I can release and relax that area so that you can get back to your daily tasks. If you're curious about crystals and want to feel their healing energy, I can wake them up and let them gently transmute tension in your auric field. Craniosacral can help to unwind tension in your nervous system and your fascial system. Reiki can be used to clear blockages within your energy body. Or perhaps you'd like to experience a bit of everything.
A session like All the Heals is completely unique each and every time. I would start with a twin crystal reading, where I ask your higher self what you need most at this time, and relay any messages that come through. Some clients like to pull an oracle card for more guidance during their session. We can then go into a massage if your body needs physical relaxation, and intuitively go from there. Craniosacral therapy is always a beautiful addition as it can calm the nervous system, and put you into a meditative state. At the end of the session I might give you some homework. The act of ritual can be very powerful for some. Perhaps a release ritual comes through, where you release a rock into water, maybe write a letter and letting it burn with some clearing sage along side. Whatever comes through will be perfect for what is needed at the time.
Thank you for your time in hearing a bit of my journey. If you would like to schedule a session please refer back to the services page.
